Ol Pejeta Conservancy

The conservancy is a non-profit located in the central Laikipia at the foothills of Aberdares and Mt Kenya on the equator. It is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa with over 115 Rhinos and is also home to the two last remaining northern white rhinos.

The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Ol Pejeta conservancy is the only place in Kenya where these highly endangered and incredibly intelligent primates can be found. The sanctuary provides a haven for orphaned and abused chimpanzees who enjoy roaming freely in their vast natural enclosure. Many of the chimps that are taken to the sanctuary were rescued from the abuse of man.
