Tour Plan

Day 1 Nairobi

Your private safari adventure begins as we collect you from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Preferably before 8:00am, our driver-guide will meet you for a safari briefing and enjoy the day in Nairobi with excursions Giraffe Center, David Sheldrick and Karen Blixen Museum.

Your excursions will begin with the Giraffe Centre. This non-profit organisation was originally opened in order to protect the endangered Rothschild giraffe that is found only on the plains of East Africa. The centre also offers free environmental education to young Kenyans and promotes conservation efforts of endangered species in the country. While on your visit you will have the opportunity of getting close to a giraffe or two as well as feed them and watch as they delicately use their long tongues to take the food from your hand. There are also a few warthogs that roam freely amongst the giraffes and a gift shop for visitors to enjoy. Unique and exhilarating, this visit will get you as close as you possibly can to a giraffe in Kenya.

Later visit David Sheldrick Elephant orphanage where you will have an opportunity to interact with orphaned baby elephants until 12pm. When a tiny new-born elephant is orphaned, it is often because its mother and family have been killed to serve the brutal ivory trade. During this hour, visitors can observe the baby elephants being fed with milk bottles, playing in the mud, and interacting with their keepers. Visitors can also learn about the elephants' individual stories and the Trust's conservation efforts.

Lunch Tamambo Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens.
